2018/19: What's New?

The week after the World Street Dance Championships has absolutely flown by, but here at UDO HQ we have not stopped. We have our eyes set on the upcoming events, from our first ever 2.0 Championship to our international Six Nations competition. After such a successful weekend at Worlds, we don’t want any of our dancers to miss out on their chance to qualify for Blackpool 2019: here’s all you need to know about our latest updates…

UDO UK goes 2.0

As you’ve probably seen across our social media channels, we could not be more excited to be stepping our game up. UDO 2.0 Championships – launching in Sheffield on 7th October – will be giving you the chance to qualify in Quads and SuperCrews for Worlds 2019. Quad music has been announced, so what are you waiting for? Get your squad together and get choreographing!

What’s more, we want to know why you love to dance in a quad. We have launched a new competition across our social media pages, so that you can show us your #QuadGoals. Simply like our UDO UK page on Facebook (or our UDO Global page on Instagram) and tag us in your #QuadGoals videos or photos. In the caption, let us know why you love to dance in a quad. That’s all it takes! Winners will receive a social media takeover, 4 free tickets to a 2.0 event of your choice, and a meet-and-greet with a 2.0 judge. Get those hashtags ready…

UDO Qualification Changes

As all our dancers know, the standards at our street dance competitions just keep getting higher and higher. Dance teachers and choreographers have been working tirelessly to improve their routines and street dance technique, so we need to keep up with the times. Also, with our first major Asia-Pacific and North American Championships taking place this year, we will be welcoming even more international talent to our 2019 World Championships. That’s why qualifications have changed a little; we want our Major street dance Championships to reflect the incredible talent you all bring to the floor. Check out the qualification changes here!

UDO Six Nations

Talking of incredible talent, the UDO Six Nations Street Dance Championships will be upon us before we can learn how to say ‘already?’ in French or German. For those of you who qualified last year, this is your chance to compete at an international event: represent Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, France or Germany at the next massive UDO Championship.

But what if you didn’t qualify for Six Nations? There’s no need to worry; with the introduction of our 2.0 Championships, we thought it was only fair to offer quad and SuperCrew qualifiers at Six Nations! You can come along, compete, and qualify for UDO Worlds 2019. We are also adding battles to the mix, so this Six Nations will be an event that no one wants to miss.

We can’t wait to see you all at our upcoming events – for more information on a Championship near you, head to our events page here.
